Georges Atlan has spent his entire life making jeans.
Born in Lyon, France, he came to Los Angeles in the early 90's to build his version of the American dream: run factories, teams, and systems that turn raw denim into something people live in.
Over the last 30 years, Georges has made more than 20 million pairs of jeans for over 100 premium labels, working behind the scenes for some of the most demanding brands in the industry.
From launching Guess jeans with Georges Marciano in 1980 to designing and overseeing production on American Apparel's denim line producing 9 figures in sales from scratch.
Today, Georges runs American Made in Los Angeles. It’s the same craft, the same standards, focused on helping modern brands build denim the right way with fair wage workers.
